Sleep and mental health are deeply intertwined. Poor sleep can worsen anxiety and depression, while anxiety and depression can make sleep elusive. Breaking this cycle often requires addressing both sides at once.

Sleep hygiene is a set of habits that support better rest: consistent bedtimes, a cool dark room, limited caffeine, and reduced screen time before bed. These changes can be powerful, especially when practiced consistently.

For some people, sleep problems are a sign of an underlying condition such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, or a mood disorder. If sleep difficulties persist, a medical or mental health evaluation is worth considering.

Better sleep rarely happens overnight. But small, steady changes can gradually restore one of the most important foundations of mental health.
